Light steel structure

Light steel structure is mainly used in load-bearing buildings that do not bear large loads. It is a low-rise and multi-storey prefabricated steel structure house system which is assembled by using light H-beam (welded or rolled; variable section or equal section) made into portal steel frame support, C-type and Z-type cold-formed thin-walled sections as purlins and wall beams, pressed steel plates or light-weight sandwich panels as roof and wall envelope structure, and high-strength bolts, common bolts and self-tapping screws and other connectors and sealing materials.
Structural forms
1、Purlin: In the light steel structure, most of them adopt purlin system, so purlin is an important member. There are mainly the following types: thin-walled steel purlins of solid web, hollow web purlins made of angle steel and embellished plates, and truss purlins.
2、Truss: truss is the main load-bearing member in roof structure, the form of truss is triangle, trapezoid, pike, three hinges and so on, it can be made by angle steel thin-walled section, round tube, square tube and so on.
3、Steel frame: steel frame has single and multi-layer, steel frame rod has solid belly and lattice type, multi-layer steel frame can effectively use the building space, reduce the height of the house, simple and beautiful shape, neat specification of the components, convenient site installation, fast construction, is the main structural form of the current light structure, mostly made of H-shaped steel.
4、Network frame: the network frame has space role, compared with the plane structure of beam and truss has the characteristics of good integrity and high stiffness, and can effectively withstand dynamic loads such as earthquake.
Classification
There are usually two kinds of light steel structures: one is the skeleton structure composed of thin-walled sections cold-rolled with thin steel plates (less than 6mm thick); one is the truss made of sections with smaller sections (such as angles, bars, flat steel, etc.) and then composed of skeleton structure; and there is a mixture of two methods of skeleton structure. The widespread use of thin-walled sections in the skeleton structures of automobiles, aircraft and ships has promoted the development of light steel structures in industrialized system buildings. After the Second World War, CLASP and SEAC light steel structure school building system appeared in Britain, and GEAJ and other light steel structure residential and office building system appeared in France. Light steel structure building light, easy to industrial production, construction and assembly fast, convenient, especially suitable for the requirements of rapid completion and the need to move the building, more often used in schools, homes, offices, hotels, hospitals, as well as factories and warehouses. However, it must be prepared for anti-rust treatment and strengthen maintenance to improve durability.
