Grid structure is a space structure made of multiple rods connected by nodes according to a certain grid form. It has the advantages of small spatial force, light weight, high stiffness and good seismic performance; it can be used as the roof of buildings such as gymnasiums, theaters, exhibition halls, waiting halls, stadium grandstand canopies, aircraft hangars, two-way large column spacing workshops. The disadvantage is that the number of rods intersecting the nodes is large and the production and installation is more complicated than that of flat structures.
Grid structure is a kind of spatial rod system structure, and the stressed rods are connected by nodes according to certain rules. The nodes are generally designed to be articulated, and the rods are mainly subjected to axial forces, and the cross-sectional dimensions of the rods are relatively small. These spatially intersecting rods are supported by each other, which organically combine the stressed rods with the supporting system, and thus the material is economical. Due to the regular combination of structure, a large number of rods and nodes of the same shape and size, easy to factory production, easy to site installation.
